Äme Anderberg placed himself well infront of the OCM rankings when he ensured the victory in Kanchanaburi - Bangkok, also known as pre-WC.
"I've reached almost all my goals now. I've won the World Championships, Germany Tour and the old traditional Albacete-Madrid. The only race left I dream about winning is of course Zürich-Bern-Zürich, which will be my primary goal for the rest of the season" said Äme Anderberg.
A lot of attention has been around Äme Anderberg recently, who most certainly had his best season in his career, and possibly also in the future.
The season is coming to an end, however, one big and prestigious race is approaching for the riders of Team Zyte. Äme Anderberg will attempt to win the World Championships once again, to become the first in history to make a double! However, this season Äme Anderberg is getting tired and admits that he might not be able to do it.
"It's been a long season for me. My earlier season on the team were much 'easier'. They didn't put too much pressure on me, to ensure that I got the perfect development. However, much of the team's success was pending on me, and I really had to do my best. I'm looking forward to end the season, as it has been very long for me. I certainly need a long break soon. I'll of course do my best in the World Championships, but my shape could be better. It's heading downwards from now on" said Äme Anderberg about the upcoming championships.
Next season will be quite different for the team, as announced earlier. Team Zyte will no longer compete at the highest level, however, some goals are still there, as the team needs the economy to find and train young talents from all over the world. The change is something that the defending World Champion is happy about:
"It has been very stressed. I'm looking forward to this new change. When I've reached my final goal, I will dedicate my ambitions fully to the idea of finding young talented riders and help them become the riders of tomorrow", said Äme Anderberg about his future.

Great press release! what do you mean by not competing in the top devision? will you compete in the 50-150 devision?
Well with by how much he won by and the glitch in the big climb times I would think he would have a good chance to go back to back.
I don't know if he should defend that title. Should he really try to win it twice? :P
It would be awesome and he would be the first on to make a historical win in the tour... Hmm, could be. I'll see about that later. Still I hope Arnold Schurman can do it...
He should just retire now, he is past it. I am sure Priskin will agree it is time to hang up is cleats :D
Well he has to come back next season to Germany to defend his title.
